3rock Bbq

The weather looked decent for the 3Rock bouldering bbq this evening so I drove to the Gravity Center to pick up Hari and Matthew and off we went to Ticknock car park. As we walked up the hill the lads were impressed with the views over Dublin all the way to the Mournes, unfortunatley the view became obscured by a heavy shower of rain which enveloped us before we reach the boulders and soaked everything on the mountain ... except our spirits. We huddled behind the warm up boulder for shelter, at first we thought there was nobody about for the bbq and that the rain may have stopped people from being psyched to come along but then Dave popped his head up from behind a gorse bush and we chatted with him and got stuck in.
It was Hari and Matthew's first time at 3rock so we showed them around all the problems and they thought the place was pretty cool. We didn't have much to play with as all the problems were wet bar the lower traverse, a pumpy little beast, a really nice problem, so we all clambered away on that for a while and had an aul chat. The Bbq was sparked up and some sausages were incinerated, they resembled charcoal more than a culinary delight but they were all we had so I ate them anyways.
mmm ...

... Doh !!
