Went to Dalkey this morning for a half days climbing with Pat and Mike. Another lovely warm day. The mission was to get back on Thrust and lead it clean. I warmed up on the climb Scavenger VS, a good but short stemming corner into a fairly un protected slab on good crimps and footholds, it's fine little climb for getting the muscles moving and the early morning adrenalin flowing :)Thrust HVS
Mike had a buzz top roping Paradise Lost VDIFF and Moonlighter VS, it was his first time in Dalkey and he was enjoying the rock. After a chat and a coffee we headed up the hill to Thrust and I tied in to the sharp end and got the job done. It's a peach of a climb I enjoyed every move. I was in a way better head space from the last time I climbed it a week ago or so when I took a fall on it. What a difference a good week of being on the lead can do for your confidence. First HVS since my accident whoop whoop, E1 here I come :) Thanks Mike for the sweet photos.
