Dalkey ... again !!

I had a few days climbing in Dalkey during the week. The weather was fine and the chilled out evening climbing with friends was very relaxing. This won't be a very excited blog post as I guess I am currently not very excited about Dalkey. Every time I finished a route I couldn't decide which one to get on next for ages, which means I suppose I am not really psyched for anything there at present and I have the whole place pretty much climbed out until I am feeling fit, ready and comfortable about getting on the E2s. Dalkey has some amazing looking E2s that I have had my eye on for years. Right now I think my time would be better spent in the gym training hard as finally my finger feels ready to climb hard without holding back. Highlights of the few days in the quarry were meeting up with my good climbing buddy Martin who has been living in Colombia for over a year, it was great to see him again and hold the ropes for him as he did his first ever E1 Gargoyles Groove Direct, also I enjoyed getting back on Exertion HVS sorting out some rope drag issues and getting it clean. Now its time to work hard on the wall and gym in Naas to catch up some strength and stamina whilst this rain passes by. Hopefully in another 2 or 3 weeks I will be ready to start bouldering again as well :) Happy climbing folks !!
