I have five rungs to play with so I have been busy looking at peoples training regimes on youtube and vimeo and trying to copy them. So far I can do a 1,2,3,4,5 (with one hand staying on the bottom rung) and I can do a 1,3,4,5. I can't quite manage a 1,3,5 yet, but hopefully with a bit of effort I will get it soon. Another popular trick is the double dyno, but it is rumored to be very dangerous in terms of injuries so I am gonna wait for a week or two before I try them. I have to say it is fun trying to master these new exercises and the gains are highly quantifiable and coming very quickly indeed :) So thank you mister Wolfgang Gullich !! I am a crimpoholic so the open handed training on the campus board should give me something I have never had before ... open hand strength. Look at this picture and check out the weird thing my little finger does when I am three finger open handing.
Look at his lad !! I can't even fathom what possessing this kind of power must feel like, psyched to try and get some though ...
My foot injury is beginning to heal nicely and I am hoping to hit Glendalough for a relaxing mileage day on Sunday and then hopefully some sweet trad to start the summer with a bang a week or two after that. I don't want to rush it and have this injury hanging around all summer. Injuries are so frustrating !! At least I am back training though :)
Check out the Moon campus routine. I did it there a few years back with Kev Power. We tried it twice a week but pulled it in to once a week. Even Kev said twice a week was too much. Despite the fact that Kev was way beyond me, we both were able to do the routine without injury. I couldn't do 1-4-7 so used to touch 6 to get to 7. Kev was doing 1-5-9 :-)
